This unique shop, filled with antique timepieces from floor to ceiling, caught our attention. Naturally, we decided to take a closer look at the various clocks and ask the owner, Mr Chan, some questions about them.
We learnt that Mr Chan not only repairs clocks, but also collects antique clocks. The shop has been around for 70-80 years and he took over his father's business for 40 years (and counting)!
Some of the clocks in the shop were either left in the shop for repair but never collected by the customers, or collected as an antiquity. He shared with us that he collected antique clocks from 1822 from different parts of Europe, such as France.
We found the shop very interesting as we had not seen so many clocks in one single place before. Our interview with him just proved how interesting people are. Just imagine how much we would learn if we did this with other shop owners (and perhaps, other people on the streets). What stories would they have to tell?
